Chord sheet

A chord sheet is a representation of the harmonic structure of a piece of music. Usually chord symbols in combination with barlines and beat bars are used for this purpose.

From the chord symbols specified in the main part, MusiCAD can create a automatic bass line or automatic chord line with the chord progression in which beat bars (line on every beat of the measure) can also be indicated.

On the notation bar such a chord progression part looks like:

An invisible rest has been inserted before every beat of the measure, while the chord symbols from the main part have been copied as text into the new part.

The same measures will appear in the score as:

By turning off the chord display in text format, all chord symbols in the main part become invisible.

The result of the chord progression (with 8 measures per line set under format) is the following:
