Cursor

From MusiCAD

The cursor is the pointer MusiCAD will use to represent the current position where actions will take place. Depending of the situation the cursor may have a different shape.

Cursor on the notation area

Note/rest if the cursor points to an existing note
Just moved up/down if cursor was moved to new position with <Pijltje omhoog> or <Pijltje omlaag>
Insert if you are about to enter new notes
other object if the cursor points to an object that has no duration (other than notes and rests)

Cursor movement:

<Pijltje naar links> move one position to the left
<Pijltje naar rechts> move one position to the right
<ctrlPijltje naar links> move one bar to the left
<ctrlPijltje naar rechts> move one bar to the right
<Home> move the cursor to the beginning of the line.
<End> move the cursor to the end of the line.
<Page Up> move the cursor to the previous 'line'.
<Page Down> move the cursor to the next 'line'.
<ctrl-Home> move the cursor to the last bar of the melody
<ctrl-End> move the cursor to the first bar of the melody

When moving the cursor up or down with <> <> you can make the cursor point to the position where you want the new note to be inserted with <Enter>.
