During edit the mouse mode determines how mouse-clicks should be interpreted:

  • reposition - cursor (mouse shape is the usual arrow), no dotted ledger-lines will be drawn.
  • note-insert - mouse shape gets an additonal red note-symbol attached, dotted ledger-lines will be drawn.

The button cursor is down for mouse-insert mode.
