Staff distance
Staff distance, added distance between two staffs within a line, is measured in vertical units.
The distance between two bars of the same line in a score is called staff distance and can be found under [Options|Layout].
The staff distance is different from the staff height, which you can also specify there.
The resulting distance between staffs may be greater than the specified staff distance if the staff height is set to automatic; the distance is adjusted as a result of the actual notes and/or text present.
