Cut and paste
To cut and/or paste a selection you can use the usual keys:

<ctrl-c> / <ctrl-insert> | copy |
|
<ctrl-x> / <delete> | cut |
|
<ctrl-v> / <shift-insert> | paste |
|
<ctrl-z> | undo |
Alternatively use the cut/past selection in the context menu, or the edit-menu
