The command line may be used to start MusiCAD in a different way.
Command line options are:
| /A | Play immediately. |
| /C | Save as .ABC |
| /E | Save as PDF |
| /F | Full screen without title bar |
| /N | Do not open last melody. |
| /M | Save as MIDI |
| /O | Restore default settings |
| /P | Print immediately. |
| /R | Rewrite a melody using predefined settings |
| /S | Suppress splash-screen |
| /T | Open melody in text-mode |
| /Z | Safe mode |
To convert an existing melody to its abc-equivalent use a command like:
"c:\Program Files\Musys Software\MusiCAD 4.2\mc4.exe" /C /S adelita.mc
