The command line may be used to start MusiCAD in a different way.

Command line options are:

/A Play immediately.
/C Save as .ABC
/E Save as PDF
/F Full screen without title bar
/N Do not open last melody.
/M Save as MIDI
/O Restore default settings
/P Print immediately.
/R Rewrite a melody using predefined settings
/S Suppress splash-screen
/T Open melody in text-mode
/Z Safe mode

To convert an existing melody to its abc-equivalent use a command like:

"c:\Program Files\Musys Software\MusiCAD 4.2\mc4.exe" /C /S adelita.mc
